Center for Community Solutions (CCS) prioritizes protection of your privacy and personal information. Our privacy policy reflects a commitment to the privacy of users of our website, www.ccssd.org, any SMS communications with us, or other engagement in any services.

Personal Information Collected
CCS collects personally identifiable information, such as company names, personal names, email addresses, addresses, and phone numbers. We collect this information in these ways when you voluntarily provide it:
- Contact forms on our website for client services, donation information, volunteer service, trainings, and other requests to our organization
- Subscriptions to our newsletters. Users may always "opt out" at any time.
- Email, calls, or chat/SMS
Our website automatically collects this information: IP address with approximate location, browser type, device and operating system, domain names, access times and referring website addresses.
We use your personal information to provide you with a more personalized experience based on interests tracked from previous visits to our website. Users can reject or remove “cookies” through their own web browser settings at any time.

SMS: CCS may use SMS from staff or to automatically inform or communicate with program participants or donors who have given consent by providing a mobile number, agreeing via website forms, verbal consent with staff, or otherwise choosing to “opt in.” CCS uses trusted third-party fundraising platforms that utilize SMS for donor communications related to an event or campaign. Anyone receiving SMS from CCS or its third-party platforms may opt out at any time.
How Your Information May Be Used
CCS will never sell your personal information. We may share your information under these circumstances:
Trusted Third-Party Providers: these include secure platforms that process payments, collect donation records, or technology providers like Zoom if you request services or access. CCS currently utilizes these secure third-party fundraising platforms that have their own Privacy Policies:

Legal Sharing: CCS will share information as required by law or legal request and we may disclose information to protect the safety of participants, staff, or others.
Analytics: CCS utilizes Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google. Google utilizes the data collected to track and examine the use of www.ccssd.org, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Donor Privacy

Security of Your Personal Information: CCS secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. CCS secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information through a credit card or bank account is provided, transactions are processed by fundraising platforms protected through encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocols.
Personal Information
We collect and store personal information that you share with us, such as your name, address, telephone number, or email address. CCS limits access to your personal information to CCS staff who need the information to provide a service or records (e.g. donation acknowledgments) for you.
Here are some common ways CCS may collect information from donors:
- Contributions mailed by check, made through our website or secure donation platform linked to CCS, by phone, or any other means.
- Event registration
- When you request assistance or information through our website or through CCS staff.
- Gift agreements, grant transactions, and donation history
Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
CCS is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal information.
- We will not trade, share, or sell donor information with anyone else without your express approval.
- Donor and volunteer stories, quotes, or testimonials may be featured on CCS’s website, e-newsletter or other publications.
- Donor names are listed on donor lists published in our annual report (online and in print) unless a donor requests anonymity. This option is listed on our donor acknowledgment letters with contact information to share your preference: philanthropy@ccssd.org.
- CCS collects payment information, billing address, and other information necessary to process a donation or event registration.
- As a fraud protection measure, CCS may verify with third parties the information collected in the course of processing a gift, event registration or other donation. If you use a credit card, we may use card authorization and fraud screening services to verify that your card information and address match the information that you supplied to us, and that the card being used has not been reported lost or stolen.
Note on Client Data and Privacy
CCS uses an encrypted client database, Efforts to Outcomes, where CCS staff collect personal information of participants of our programs. This information is strictly protected and accessed only by CCS staff certified to engage with participants. The data is used internally to track progress and to ensure effective service delivery.
