What is Giving December?

CCS participates in the annual global “Giving Tuesday” campaign that typically falls on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. In 2022, the CCS Philanthropy department introduced “Giving December” as an extension of Giving Tuesday into a season of giving through December 31 that includes a Board & Friends match. This has doubled end-of-year fundraising for CCS programs and survivors! 



How Does It Work?

Our Board & Friends Match Pool will match your gift dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000 and growing! This means your gift has the power to do twice as much good. A $25 gift becomes $50. A $250 gift becomes $500. A $1,000 gift becomes $2,000, and so on. Donations are now being accepted for the match.

Contributions for the match will be honored through December 31 or until all match pool funds are claimed, whichever comes first. As the match pool grows, we'll match even more gifts to CCS this giving season!

How Does Your Gift Help?

This year, CCS has continued to face an overwhelming demand for services, helping nearly 17,000 people. Our hotline answered more than 5,000 calls from people seeking immediate help. Our shelters provided 9,461 nights of safety to adults and children escaping violence. Our advocates stood beside 663 sexual assault survivors during forensic exams so no one had to face trauma alone. Our legal and counseling teams helped hundreds more navigate the most difficult moments of their lives.  And yet, the need continues to rise.

As you plan your year-end giving, please note that 2025 may offer additional tax advantages before anticipated 2026 changes go into effect. You may wish to consider making—or increasing—your gift by December 31, 2025.

Start the Convo to raise awareness and end sexual assault. #StartTheConvo campaign is a call to action for every member of our community to give their support and #StartTheConvo around preventing intimate partner violence and sexual violence. We stand in solidarity with all survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We all have a role in ending violence.

The highest incidence of rape affects mostly yong women between the ages of 16 and 24. Don’t be a bystander! It’s time to talk with your friends, family, and loved ones! Join us as we #StartTheConvo!
