November 2025 Alert: Emergency Food Support Needed

Emergency Food Support for Survivors

The extended federal program delays are directly impacting clients in Center for Community Solutions programs. More than 90% of survivors we help live well below poverty lines and most have children. Families on a path of healing and independence rely on basic needs support.

As of November 2025, CCS clients are facing reduced and delayed basic food support, and they could use our help through this temporary but challenging time. Access to food pantries is limited as they experience a spike in requests and many of our clients lack transportation to check on availability at multiple food pantry sites. Our clients also have the additional barrier of safety concerns when going to stores, food distribution centers, or other public spaces.

TWO Ways to Help Immediately:

Donate non-perishable canned goods: we need soups, pasta meals, and beans. We would also be grateful for glass jars of baby food. Please email us at info@ccssd.org for locations and drop off times to ensure items reach our families.

OR

Make an online donation of $25 or more that will allow staff to purchase and distribute grocery store gift cards to cover food gaps.
