Biography

Monica Lafferty

Monica Lafferty is a retired RN with a lifetime of caring and advocating for others. With more than 40 years of work in philanthropy and volunteerism, she was one of the original organizers of Teen Volunteers In Action, SD ch4, in 2014, acting as VP of Philanthropy. She has also worked closely with International Relief Teams, UCSD's Covid-19 vaccination program, St. Paul's Manor, and more. She was honored to join the Board of Center for Community Solutions in 2024 and works on the Philanthropy Committee. 

Monica is an avid Padres fan, enjoys travel, eclipse chasing, and spending time with family and friends.

Start the Convo to raise awareness and end sexual assault. #StartTheConvo campaign is a call to action for every member of our community to give their support and #StartTheConvo around preventing intimate partner violence and sexual violence. We stand in solidarity with all survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We all have a role in ending violence.
