Biography

Cori Austin

Cori Manthorne Austin joined CCS as the Chief Operating Officer in 2020. 

Having worked in the relationship and sexual violence prevention movement for over two decades, Cori is dedicated to strengthening organizational and community responses to violence. She has been elected to numerous leadership positions including the Board of Directors for the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence (2012-2018), the Steering Committee for the San Mateo County Continuum of Care (2008-2017) and a member of a Citizen Review Panel under the California Office of Child Abuse Prevention (2014-2018). 

Her professional accomplishments include strategic partnerships with community leaders to develop a county-wide response to family homelessness, providing training and technical assistance to nonprofits focused on the development of trauma informed practices, culturally-responsive programming, and various publications with Google on privacy issues for vulnerable populations. 

Cori earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology-Forensics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Resource Management.Other happy pursuits include spending time with her family, travel, and all things animals.

We stand in solidarity with all survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We all have a role in ending violence.
