Rebecca Rader most recently served as Chief Advancement Officer at CASA of Orange County, where she oversaw fundraising efforts for the agency’s $3 million+ budget. CASA of Orange County provides a powerful voice for youth in the child welfare system through a unique one-on-one relationship with trained and supervised Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASAs. These volunteers work to ensure that boys and girls in the foster care system are safe, have a permanent home and the opportunity to thrive. Prior to joining CASA of Orange County, Ms. Rader served as Senior Vice President of Philanthropy at Voices for Children – the CASA agency for San Diego and Riverside Counties.
She has over 30 years of comprehensive fundraising and marketing experience, and throughout her career, has raised in excess of $40 million for nonprofit causes. Prior to joining Voices for Children, she served as the Director of Development at San Diego Opera, where she was responsible for all foundation and government funding. Earlier, Ms. Rader operated her own public relations firm and worked with clients from a myriad of different for-profit and non-for-profit companies for over a decade. A graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in English, she is a native of Southern California.
