Dr. Anita Raj
Anita Raj, PhD, is a Professor of Medicine and Global Public Health and Director of UC San Diego’s Center on Gender Equity and Health. Through her research, conducted in South Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, Russia and North America, she has generated approximately 200 publications, and has been invited to speak at the United Nations General Assembly, the World Health Organization, UN Women, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on topics of gender inequities and health. Dr. Raj works extensively with the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CALCASA) and RALIANCE, an NFL-funded sport-focused initiative to end violence against women. She is also a Board Member for the United Nations Association of San Diego.
