Biography

Verna Griffin-Tabor

Verna Griffin-Tabor has worked in the field of sexual assault and relationship violence for more than 30 years. She has been the CEO of Center for Community Solutions since 1998. Verna’s career has been committed to the prevention of sexual assault and relationship violence.

She has served on the board of the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence, University of San Diego’s Advisory Board on Non-Profit Leadership & Management, and Blue Shield of CA’s Advisory Board. In 2001, she served as President of the San Diego Domestic Violence Council.

Verna has received the San Diego Domestic Violence Council’s Lifetime Achievement Award, San Diego County Bar Association’s Distinguished Citizen Award, San Diego Domestic Violence Council’s Andrea O’Donnell Award, and San Diego’s Non-Profit Management’s Award for Excellence in Leadership. She has a Master’s in Social Work with California licensure and a B.A. in Criminology.
