How many people are expected to attend the event?

Our event sells out, and we are expecting more than 500 guests.

What is the main course for lunch? What if I have a dietary restriction?

The main course for lunch will be a roasted chicken breast served with tiny roasted potatoes and a jalapeño salsa verde. The vegetarian entrée will be a cauliflower steak.

When you are registering your contact information and credit card info for the event (more info on this below), you will be asked to enter any dietary restrictions.

I purchased a ticket and would like to sit with my friends/colleagues who also purchased tickets. Can we be seated together?

Yes - Individual VIP and general ticket holders will be sent a confirmation that allows you to request to be “grouped together” with others to form a table or just be seated near each other.

I purchased a table/sponsorship. How do I register my guests?

As you gather your guest names, please share with them this link to pre-register their phone number, email address and credit card.

We encourage you to send this link to your guests directly so that they can securely pre-register their credit cards which will ensure a smoother check-in process on the day of the event. When your guests are registering, they will be prompted to enter the group name (your name/business name) for their table assignment. If you prefer to enter the names yourself on behalf of your guests, you may also click on the link and register for them.  If you know only some names now, you may enter them now and go back to the link later to enter more names. Final guest names will be confirmed in early June.

Is pre-swiping credit cards required?

The credit card pre-authorization is highly encouraged and offered as a convenience. This is now a common practice for major fundraising events and reduces time waiting in line at check-in or check-out. Last year, 98% of Tea guests pre-swiped their cards and spent only minutes checking in and out. Most guests pre-swiped their cards 1-2 weeks before the event. We are offering this information now so that this year’s guests are aware and have the option to take care of this step sooner. Our event will sell out and we expect over 500 guests, so the pre-swiping will allow you to avoid long lines for those opting to swipe their cards at check-in.

Is my information secure?

YES. This is similar to your saving a credit card to your Amazon or DoorDash account. The cards are securely recorded and you will receive a unique mobile link to pay for (1) raffle, (2) winning auction payments, or (2) donations. Only you can make charges to your card. CCS staff and the mobile giving platform cannot even see the full credit card information. The guest controls any charges. If you buy no raffle tickets, win no auction items, and make no donations, your card will never be charged.

What if I make a large donation during the event and don’t want that charged to my card?

CCS automatically contacts any guests who “raise the paddle” to donate $5,000 or more to confirm a charge to the card or a desire to donate by check instead. Guests can also notify any check-out staff that they prefer to pay for a donation by check. We also intentionally delay processing credit card charges for 2 business days to allow guests to contact us regarding this preference for larger gifts.

How will I check in at the event?

You will check in by providing your name. There is no physical ticket. If you did not pre-authorize your credit card, you will be asked to swipe your credit card at check-in. This is not required, but highly encouraged.
