Biography

Nancy Maldonado

Nancy Maldonado is a senior executive with demonstrated results as a change agent, specializing in strategic planning, program management, community outreach, and coalition building. She is an engaging leader and mentor, skilled at cultivating high performing teams, establishing community partnerships, and transforming culture.

Currently, she serves as the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Rady Children’s Hospital where she provides institutional vision, thought leadership, and strategic direction within the executive leadership and hospital operations teams. She also drives mission-centered strategy and programming to support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the health system.

Previously, Nancy served as President & CEO of the Chicano Federation of San Diego County and is a proud and distinguished member of the San Diego community. She has been honored with the City of San Diego’s Proclamation of “Nancy Maldonado Day,” was featured on the cover of San Diego Magazine as an Inspirational Woman, and was named Business Woman of the Year by San Diego Business Journal.
