Thanks to the amazing support of The Home Depot Supply, CCS will be reopening 6 completely refurbished Transitional Housing Apartments for families in need this coming February 1st. (See "Home Depot Supply Helps Build Hope for CCS Families" article for more details!) With this grand opening comes the need for furnishing and household supplies to make the apartments move in ready for families in crisis. Various companies and local community groups such as Cox Communications and the La Jolla and San Diego Chapters of the Soroptimist Club have pitched in to help collect much needed supplies for the new families. Approximately 80% of the items needed to furnish the homes have been collected but we still need more in order to provide the families with all they need to move into their new homes. CCS would like to enlist your support with this project by donating either direct items or financial support to be used to help complete the project. A sampling of items needed includes new dishes, flatware, linens and various furniture items. Come spring, we are hoping to renovate the yard area to provide the children with a grassy area for playing and outdoor use. If you are interested in getting involved or would like a copy of the needs list, please contact Erin Miserlis at (858) 272-5777 or emiserlis@ccssd.org. Thanks you for your support! |
