Men's Leadership Forum: solutions to gender-based violence
The Men's Leadership Forum; solutions to gender-based violence involves
men and boys in strategies top prevent domestic and sexual violence.
MLF2005 is Monday February 14, 2005 at Paradise Point Resort and Convention
Center on Mission Bay. Over three hundred participants (mostly men,
buts it's NOT the boys club, so women are invited too) will here former
NFL quarterback Don McPherson present on how to involve males in preventing
sexual assault and domestic violence. Ten different breakouts are
planned including a wide variety of topics and even one in Spanish
in the roots of violence. The plenary sessions will be simultaneously
translated and other confirmed participants include Casey Gwinn, SDSU
President Dr. Steven Weber, and a special video welcome by NY Yankees
Manager Joe Torre. IMAGES Theater will perform a youth violence prevention
play and a gourmet lunch will be enjoyed by all. CCS Legal Department
Director Steve Allen will present a workshop with MCLE credits available
for attorneys titled "Victim Justice: the Limits of the Long Arm of
the Law." All this for $20 in advance and $30 at the door. Limited
