         7th Annual "Bridging Hearts" Adopt-a-Family
                                  Holiday Program

The seventh annual “Bridging Hearts” program that provides Emergency Shelter residents and other agency program participants with additional support during the holiday season is now asking for your help.

The goal of the “Bridging Hearts” program is to bring together members of the San Diego community with CCS program participants to create a more abundant holiday by donating food, gifts and holiday cheer for the kids and families served by the agency during the year. To that end, Center for Community Solutions (CCS) is seeking donors for its annual Adopt-a-Family Holiday effort.

Participating families can be adopted by individuals, groups or businesses in the community. Donors can purchase gifts from a completed wish list, shop with the family, provide the holiday meal or supply gift cards for groceries or other goods, including phone cards, house wares, clothing or shoes. Families and donors can choose if they would like personal contact with their “adopted family” or participate in the program anonymously. All donations are tax deductible.

“Our annual Adopt-a-Family Holiday effort is an excellent and very rewarding opportunity to assist others during a special time of the year,” said Verna Griffin-Tabor, executive director and CEO of Center for Community Solutions. “These families are facing difficult times as they flee abusive environments, and they need our help to make their holiday season bright.”
