Non-Discrimination Service Policy

Non-Discrimination Service Policy

All CCS services are inclusive of all survivors of relationship and sexual violence and their children/dependents. CCS is committed to a client services environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Every client has the right to receive services in a professional atmosphere that prohibits discriminatory practices based on race, color, religion or creed, ancestry, national origin, citizen status, age, gender identity or gender expression, pregnancy or childbirth (or related medical condition), marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability (including HIV or AIDS), non-job-related medical condition (including cancer), genetic characteristics or predisposition, political affiliation/opinion, military and veteran status, or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state, or local laws. Therefore, CCS expects that all relationships between staff and clients are free from bias, prejudice, and discrimination.

Reporting an Incident of Discrimination

If a client believes they have been discriminated against by a CCS staff member, they should report the discrimination to the Program Manager, Program Director, or the Chief Operating Officer. That person will provide the client with information about CCS’s Client Grievance Policy and Procedures and will assist the client in initiating an official grievance, if that is their desire.
